P‑SET (Problem‑Set) Hackathon – Results and Certificates
The first P‑SET (Problem‑Set) Hackathon by ShunyaXis invited students to define one real problem and design a feasible 6–12 month solution across four broad areas: People, Heritage, Livelihoods, and Planet.
We are happy to announce the five ideas selected for Certificates of Excellence, along with the evaluators’ remarks. All other valid submissions will receive a Certificate of Participation in recognition of their thoughtful effort and original work.
Certificates of Excellence – Merit‑Based Selection
All ideas were evaluated on:
- Clarity and relevance of the problem
- Quality and innovation of the solution
- Feasibility within 6–12 months using realistic resources
- Use of multiple lenses (policy, technology/AI, IKS/culture, business/MSME, youth/gender, environment, etc.)
- Clarity of writing and structure
Selected ideas (alphabetical by participant within this group):
| Participant / Idea (short) | Remarks (why this recognition) |
|---|---|
| Yash Manohar Hedaoo – “Green Garden: smart renewable public space” | Highest overall blend of innovation, systems thinking (policy + tech + community), and practical piloting potential in a city like Nagpur. |
| Himanshu Shantaram Pawar – “Solar Powered Multifunctional Cultivator” | Extremely strong on feasibility, district relevance, and MSME linkage; brings clean energy into small‑farmer mechanisation with a realistic pathway for local fabrication and pilots. |
| Sanskruti Chakrapani Biradar – “Women’s SOS & safety‑mapping app” | High social relevance, clear product roadmap, and strong gender and governance framing; offers a practical MVP and city‑level pilot plan for safer mobility for women. |
| Kanak Vikas Jaiswal – “SAHAARA: AI guidance app based on Bhagavad Gita” | Very strong IKS–AI integration and youth lens; recognised for depth of cultural framing and the potential to bring timeless teachings into accessible, Gen Z‑friendly guidance. |
| Bushra Sayeed Khan – “Intergenerational engagement in old age homes” | Strong social innovation and highly implementable pilot; uses intergenerational design to address loneliness among the elderly with clear partnerships, safeguards, and feedback loops. |
These five participants will receive Certificates of Excellence.

Thank you to every student and team who engaged deeply with the P‑SET prompts—defining grounded problems, proposing realistic 6–12 month pathways, and viewing their ideas through multiple lenses. This cohort has shown that thoughtful, district‑level problem‑solving can sit alongside Indian Knowledge Systems and responsible technology in a very concrete way.
We look forward to future editions of the P‑SET Hackathon and to seeing how these ideas evolve into pilots, collaborations, and real impact on the ground.
